Short Winter Gloves
Does anyone make winter gloves that are not a gauntlet style.
Why is everyone I find a gauntlet?
I do not like the gauntlet and do not need one. Maybe some people think they do, I do not.

There are lined riding gloves all over the place. I love the gauntlets because they keep the cold air from going up my jacket's sleeves. Since you're quite a bit further South than I am, I suspect you don't get really cold weather.

My Fox Creek elkskin gloves run pretty much true to size, maybe slightly on the small size but leather stretches over time and molds to your hand. But these are unlined.

I ride with Power-Trip gloves...half fingers in the summer...perforated full finger in the spring & fall...and the Dakota glove for cold winter days (warning - very thick!)...they also make a Shifter glove that looks like it will cover your jacket sleeves but not as high as a guantlet. All the gloves I own by them hold up very well.
All said and done, however, I like gauntlets with a glove liner...when the temps get in the 20s in MD, I'm still able to keep relatively warm and handle the controls with no issue.

Gauntlets keep the cold air out of your jacket and your wrists warm.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAtBxiWzW38
