Default Sierra Antenna Splitter Question

Hey folks, I need some of your infinite wisdom please. I have purchased a J&M CB radio (used) for my EG Classic. It does have the CB antennna with it but I have been reading about this splitter from Sierra. Have any of you used one or any opinions about using it? I know that I could use the J&M antenna or buy a HD CB antenna kit for my Tour pack. If this splitter works it would be a lot easier especially since I do have the quick release to take my tourpack off. Thanks in advance. Happy Trails...

I looked up the splitter and I don't think you will be too happy with it. The best performance will be attained by using the proper antenna for the CB. You obviously bought the CB for touring, and the last thing you want is an effective range of 100 yards.

Used one on another model of bike and got decent results...AM was weaker but the FM & CB worked OK.

Your results may be different.

I had it on my 07 but i decided to go with FM antenna in the fairing and then used a K40 CB antenna in the back...works great....problem i had with the splitter is FM was not as clear as a dedicated set up...
