2012 Electra Glide Classic
Everybody makes them. My 1st choice would be Fuel Moto's to go along with my 4" Jackpots.
Another avenue, a gutted stock header ( http://www.americancustom.com/produc...-touring-bikes ), which I did and now wish I would have just got a Jackpot header.
Welcome and good luck.
Have fun!
Second, resist the urge to feel that you have to run out and start modifying a perfectly good stock motorcycle. Nothing wrong with mods, HDs are probably the most modifiable bike on the planet. But my point is to ride your bike for awhile, put a few thousand miles on it, get it good and broken-in. Give yourself time to research, talk around, and ponder what you want to do. So many "rush in" and do something, usually bowing to peer pressure, only to find that they wasted their money and must go another route. You have plenty of time, so use it to your advantage.
Please understand that if you go much beyond slip-ons, you run the risk of warranty issues. Not saying that your warranty will be voided, just saying that there are many instances where replacing ECMs, hanging stuff off the ECM, and eliminating the O2 sensors have brought dealer disapointment to many owners...once the mods are discovered. The Stage I mod, the most common, is supported my many dealers. That includes a new higher flow air cleaner, a set of slipons, and a $150 reflash of the bikes ECM to get it "back" to an acceptable level of "leanness" . Once you start venturing past this mod, you start entering the neighborhood of uncertainty on warranty issues. If the warranty is important to you, then you might want to discuss plans with your service manager. Your success will depend upon the relationship you build with your service manager and with the general manager of the dealership.
You can do some quick searches of this forum using Google or any other search engine by typing in the search box: hdforums.com "stage one" then hit enter. You will see all of the posts with the exact phrase "stage one" in them or in the headers.
Good luck and again, welcome to this forum. Keep your skin thick and your sense of humor handy! Ride safe!
