can any one recomend a good staorage stand or jack im looking to store my bike standin staight up to save some room also would like to be able to move it if possible. any suggestions i have a 2011 ultra classic
harbour freight has their $69 dollies ( like an I beam with casters)- I use a bunch of those to move my bikes around the garage--- but the 09+ doesn't fit well with the long wheelbase.
Something like that does work well, the bike is way stable as there is an outrigger for the jiffystand ( I put a hockey puck under the jiffy to decrease the lean angle- space is short!
I am using a J&S Jack. Thing is solid as a rock. Just picked it up last week and it is no comparison to the cheap Sams club jack I had. I only used that once on a 900 lb Harley. And that was to only lift 1/2" to wash the wheels. Wobbled way to much. This new jack rolls so easily I have to lower the stops or it will roll away. That part is just a bit to easy for me but I just lower the stops.
Well I use one I got at sams club in 2001,1 of my bikes has sat on it all winter since i bought it,the FLHT or the GL1500,I done all my service on it from tires to exhaust to chrome front end on it with no problems, and it doesn't take up much room when not in use !!
