Ok I just did this yesterday after talking to the HD dealer up here. So......

I used a piece of thin electrical wire in the bars so its thick enough to feed through, but thin enough not to get in the way, also i spayed silicone lube in both holes towards the elbows (this is key since its a little tight in there)
Do the RHS fist, it will help when your pulling the wires out the bottom of the bars.

- pull the throttle by wire up and all the way through and out the handle bar end, and connect up with the twist grip sensor (tape the plug together so that it doesn't come apart while your pulling later)
- next seat the twist grip sensor in the handle bar, at the same time pull the excess wire out the hole where the control wires will go in make sure the green plug also comes out. you should have a loop of about 6-10 inches out this hole if not its gonna be hard to do.
- next remove black cover off of control wires so they are all free and can move and be spread apart (your going to place the green plug in the middle of these wires as they will help guide it down the inside of the bar).
- hook up end of control wires to your wire pull through guide (I used a lot of electrical tape so that it can withstand a little tugging
- begin feeding/pulling the control wires in and they should slide pretty easily at this point
- now begin to embed the green plug in the middle of the connector wires and start feeding it into the hole at the same time, as you begin to pull/feed it will be a bit tough to get the green plug in but it will fit with a little coaxing (oh and I taped the plug so it wouldn't unplug pop after it was inside).
- continue to feed/pull the wires out the bottom, all should slide nicely.
- do the LHS control wires
reconnect the plugs for the control wires
Have fun and good luck
as I said the key here is to make sure its slippery inside the bars it helps alot.

Sorry I dont have any pics, I was just to concentrated on getting it done to stop and take pics.

Here is a rough diagram

Good luck

Ok, need some more help...nothings easy....

So I got 32310-08 and ready to pull through, but before I do that why are there three bundles to pull through? The original had the third bundle shortened and no tips. Also, the colors aren't the same. Original had 6 different, the SE version has red/black/white in both. How do I know which part of the plug to put them in?

Sure glad I have all winter for this

Thanks for the help in advance.

HOLY SHIP!!! I got them all pulled through (right side) last night! Never thought that was going to happen. For the record, the right answer for me was weed eater line, throttle wires first, then stagger 4 wires at a time on the pull line taped with electricians tape about 1" after each other. Only tape each bundle to the pull line, so once the first bundle gets through, you can stop pulling it and work on the next which is an inch back. Biggest headache was towards the end when they were somewhat bunched up at the starting point, that's where the patience came in. And alot, alot of conduit lube that I picked up from Lowe's.

Now....to figure out the wiring on 32310-08 and why it's different colors than the stock pieces. After the green connector on the stock piece there are 6 different colors of wire, on 32310-08 there are only 3 different color, 2 bundles. So I guess what I'll do is follow the yellow bundle on the original to the green connector and see what colors they turn into post-connector and the same for the other bundle. And then finally, what is the third 2 wire-bundle for on 32310-08 that is not on the stock (it is on stock, but cut short and sealed.

Sorry for the long post....geeked up about having success and a few question. Received a ton of help/advice the last couple of weeks on the forum and am super grateful!!! THANKS!

Steve

Just going to post this for future searches from guys looking for ideas....

On the left side I decided to try something a little different and did two wires at a time. Went slick as a whistle and if ever have to do this again will try it on right side as well. Just kept the pull wire in there and pulled back and forth and taped a couple on at a time. Still used conduit lube. F-bombs were dropped to 0 on this side compared to countless dropped on the other side.

I have done a few different sets, plus I used to pull wires through conduit to and from industrial machinery. I have used baby powder and grease, and I have to say that grease always seemed to work better, even around 90* turns.

How did you protect the wires before attaching them heat shrink, tape or both?
