I looked at the BAL-1 and although it was nice, I was not as impressed as I thought I should be.

I really like these. They are a lot cheaper and are bright as hell too. And are LED, have a white LED top light for license plate and are easy to wire up to to your old tail light plug or you can go to the HD dealer and pick up a new plug and pins to install on the bare wires of the tail light. And they are a lot cheaper. My son and I have them (mine is red and his is the smoke) and have not had any problems with them in three years.
