Was the +2 plenty of slack? I assume you went back through the fairing with it. Would a +4 worked a lil easier for ya, or would it have been too much? Just wondering, plan to do the swap soon I hope.

Anyway, just traded my 06 RK in for a 12 FLHP. Couldnt resist the price and it has an old school look. I am starting the mods, but I wanted to know if the 2012 HD's have Throttle By Wire?
It has been a long time! Did you know about the new frame and larger engine size? Your's has gone up two...from 88-96, 96-103.cu in. How cool is that?

Good luck with your "new" TBW Harley!

They're no larger inside than normal bars, they're beefier because there is another tube over the 1" base handlebar tube to give it the fat look.

If they stepped up and down in size internally it would be more of a pain to manufacture them.

Yes I ran it through the fairing and the +2 did fine. The cable is stiff so any longer and I would have had a big bow someplace. With these bars, +4 would have been way too much.

I ran all the wires internal but that another story. Lots of good suggestions here about that, but remove all commentators before feeding the wires. Help is real good if you have it, I didn't. i.e. push/pull help. and maybe get me $((^R%$(%(^ beer help

Not trying to hijack the thread but as long as we're on the subject, for those of you who have ridden bikes with TBW and bikes with cables, have you noticed a difference?

I had a 2010 Heritage (no TBW) and now I've got a 2012 RKC, no difference.

A big difference between my SG with TBW and my Fatboy and Sporty with cables.....grips are must easier to change. Some will say they have a hesitation, a good tune eliminates that

If anything the TBW feels more sensitive to me.

Your TTS will take care of that. Sometimes people will add too much to the throttle blade control table. See it with some vendor supplied maps.
