Anybody have one with a painted inner fairing? Just wondering if any or all of the 3 pocket bags will scratch the paint.
The two outer pockets touch the fairing. You can pick up some 1/8 or 1/4 inch window or door opening felt used to stop drafts. This stuff has sticky tape on one side of it. Cut two short strips & stick it to the bottom of the Tea Bags where contact is made.
I will say this about the 3 pocket bags - when (not if) you get a broken fairing bracket, the bag and everything inside rattle like a sunofabitch. Keys, change, phone, lighter, ammo, garage opener, and ipod all add to the shake. It was great motivation for me to replace the broken brackets. Also, the bags "sanded" the back side of my windscreen. I'm deciding whether or not to keep mine (though I do like the convenience of having the above items at my fingertips.)
It's one of the most popular, if not THE most popular windshield bags on the market.
It's stiff when it's cold and soft when it's warm, because it's made of vinyl.
Good things about it is 1) it's cheap 2) it follows the contours of the inner fairing 3) it looks good 4) it's roomy 5) it has a lifetime warranty.
The middle pocket started to crack under the flap after 3 1/2 years. Although it's not visible, T-Bags told me that they will replace it for free. I just need to send them the cracked one.
