BootCamp is ok IF you want to boot to Windows only or MacOS only... but if you want access to both Mac and Windows at the same time Parallels is hard to beat and stable. It's not uncommon for the type of work I do to have my MacBook going, and on another monitor having Windows running for programs there is no Mac software for.

I have 3 laptops, My Mac is for my everyday use surfing the internet and stuff. Then I have a Dell for all our personal work, Taxes, Office programs and photos and stuff and then I have another Dell in the garage just for tuning the bike (ThunderMax) and also running a Ross Tech VCDS program for my Audi Q7. The wife just likes her iPad.

old thread, I know... but vmware fusion is better than parallels, and there is a 100% free alternative called 'oracle virtualbox' as well, which is more then enough to run winpv on windows 7.

I went to fry's electronics and bought a $120 laptop for stuff like that, it does anything I have to do as far as programming goes on my radios, fine for what I need one for and don't really care if it gets banged up or dirty.
