If you have them, put socks on the spot lights so you dont scratch the fairing...

Default Oil temp gauge

Nice riding with you last summer when we did the PA Grand Canyon. Since you have the fairing off, buy an oil temp guage and replace that worthless air temp gauge while in there.

Remove the last screw while holding the fairing, lift out the windshield and the pull back the fairing and disconnect the headlight harness and its off. When re installing be careful not to over-tighten the screws as this will pull out the threaded inserts or worse crack the fairing around the insert.

Hopes this helps
Good Luck!
Good instructions here - though I disconnect and remove the headlamp first. Leave center windscreen screw in until last. EASY! 3 minute job.

+1. What he said, except I don't remove the headlight. I just unplug the connector that goes to it after I pull the last screw out of the windscreen ( standing in front of it so I don't drop it)

FWIW don't over tighten the torx screws when reinstalling the fairing. If you pull the inserts out it will turn into a much bigger job.

Make sure you be careful when you lift the outer off so it doesn't fall on the front fender because the headlight is plugged in .

I don't think so, we rode the Canyon around Aug 20/21 and you led the group and I was riding tail gunner or close to it. If it hadn't been for you, we would not have gotten there. You saved Doug Smith from having a real bad day.
