I have been reading this forum for some time and looking at all the Harley, Triumph and BMW models to decide what to buy if anything. I keep coming back to Harley and really like the Road Glides over any other bike but have not taken one for a demo as of yet. The problems I have read about on the 2007 models have been discouraging to say the least. I plan to take one for a demo soon as you can still ride here in Virginia. My overall plan is to convert the bike to a trike of my own design and I have a good concept in mind which is nothing like what is available on the market but that is another topic. I have not heard many if any complaints from Road Glide owners but may have missed them. I would like to get some feedback on 2007 owners if possible.
Doesn't matter which year you buy, BUT if you keep coming back to the Harley now, it would be a worse feeling if you bought any other brand!!!
you will love it.
bikes got soul and if and i dout it. like me if i decide to trade sell down the road (2009?),at least you will not take a total beating like i always did with other manufactures bikes.
I have a 07 street glide and have had zero problems , bike is fantastic , I am very impressed with the new 96 engine and love the 6 speed . All smiles here , I say go for it , I'm sure you will be happy !
I looked at the Black RG last night and itâs real sharp. I spoke to the parts manager which has a 2007 EUC and has changed the pipes, breather, and added the SERT. I looked at the dyno chart on his bike and was impressed with the change in both HP and TQ at all but the higher RPMs. The curve is now almost flat and jumped considerably at the lower RPMs. He said the header pipes on his bike were glowing red in the dark and after the changes are not. He also changed the trans oil and stated there is a noticeable wine in 5th. It appears to be a good time to deal so if there are some recommendations on what other dealers are throwing in at this time of the year I would appreciate the info.
Thanks
My 07 is all good, and as it loosens a bit and now that I got the 0903 download is getting nicer yet and a bit cooler. When I trump the EPA and choose a tuner it should be better yet.
