I went for a ride with my dealer over the weekend , and was talking about getting a bagger, while not specific he did indicate it might be worth waiting for the 07's. He has plany of 06's so it's not just for the sale.
Yep everything but the Sportys will be EFI. And the other stuff is guarded secrets. I'm told new models will start showing up in dealerships around the last of July, first of August. I've heard the same rumor about waiting til the '07s if you are in the market for a bagger. Among possible factory upgrades will be 6sp tranny, 95ci for better power to compete with Goldwings and Beemers and a possible color GPS. This is all rumors that I've heard. All those innovations would be more than Harley ever does in one model year (gotta keep us wanting to upgrade). Of course they continue talking about making a bagger around the V-Rod motor. Anybody's guess. I put off buying a bagger.
Let's summarize this to keep the reading easy..lol:
-Models Being Dropped: FXSTS Springer Softail FLST Heritage Softail
FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom
did anyone notice that VRSCA V-Rod isn't on the color chart either?
-Possible Rumors: EFI on all models
1550cc (95CI) and 6-speed gearbox spread along the line
50th Anniversary Sportster model
The Water-cooled touring bike
