Used the Harley Saddlebag Guard Bag and Water Bottle Holder for the last 3 years, first on my 05 and now on my 11. Fits right on the bag guard, very easy to reach with my left hand when riding, actually easier than leaning forward to grab something off the bars. Works for me
mine worked great for one season.. the metal in the cup vibrated into several pieces.. granted it was promptly replaced. i'm waiting for it too also fall apart. even with a rubber washer i put in on the second one to help prevent it i still don't think it'll last. have a bare foot ******* waiting to be put into use.
side note: dont use it for drinks as it spins around anyhow.. i use it for the cell phones with the clips outside of the cup. makes them easy to grab when getting on and off. don't have to unlock the saddle bags to get them.
the cell phones are much lighter than a can of soda so i don't believe that was the cause.. they're out of stainless i believe and stainless is brittle by nature.
