Later today I will measure these and post it here, if their still available, which they probably will be.
If their only 1/4 taller than my stock Dyna ones, I can live with that. If they feel like the 09 Electra Glide I rented in Hawaii, I gotta get them!
I appreciate all the help and input and thanks to all for being patient with me and answering questions. I will post the measurement later.
Only 2 length shocks made by HD for the Touring Bikes, 12" and 13". 12" are used on the Road King Custom, Street Glide and Road Glide Custom , 13 on all others.
You may be the first person that has ever posted that they have to have them. The HD air shocks that come with the touring bike are not "premium" shocks in there function or design. More are replaced by aftermarket shocks than ever replaced with stock ones.
The ride or "feel" that you got on the bike you rented was probably more the overall difference between a touring bike and your Dyna.
If you do buy them I hope they work out for you, but Ill bet Progressive, Ohlin, Works would all be better in the long run.

No doubt! My Dyna feels every pebble and bump in the road. I was impressed with the comfort of the EG but also noticed a substantial weight difference between my Dyna and the EG. I don't think the shocks we're talking will compress on a Dyna, therefore raising the rear more than what I want. Need to find the 54631-02B shock.
So what I'm hearing from you all is, the 54635-09 off the bike measures 13" and when the bike is on the ground the eye to eye will be 12"?

There has been some debate here as to how to measure a shock, weather on or off the bike. From my first hand experience, it has told me it doesn't matter, they measure the same on and off the bike, eye to eye. 12 is 12 and 13 is 13. I recently replaced my sprung OEM Dyna shocks, 12," with HD Air shocks, 13", on and off the bike, they measure respectively. The rear of my Dyna has been raised 1", so, my theory tells me what I've always suspected, the weight on the bike when placed back on the ground, isn't enough to drop a 13" shock back to a stock 12".
I found a set of 2009 street glide shocks for $100.00. Will they fit my 2005 electra glide, & will it lower the height? Harley lists a different part # starting in 2009. thanks.
If it's a Low Profile shock, it should. Look up the part number on the HD site and it should come up stating weather or not it's a LP.
I have an 09 Road Glide, the standard shocks were 13 inches. I also have a set of the P&A Profile Low shocks for sale in the Touring Classifieds, they are 12 inch...there is a 3/4 inch difference in height in the TOURING platform when on the bike. Hope this helps you. If you need more info please PM me
Another question for all to chime in on, why do they lose air so quickly? How much Teflon tape should you wrap around the threads of the fitting? I thought I wrapped plenty and seated them down pretty much all the way till tight, but in a couple days time they bleed off. Any secrets to this science??
Check your fitting with some soapy water. You might not have the poly tubing seated in the pushlok fitting's. If you find one leaking, push on the pushlok fitting and remove the tubing. look at the end of the tubing for damage. You should have enough slack to trim the end and reinsert it.
