I don't know about arc, but RF has been in the mobile audio business as long as I can remember. When I was a teenager installing car audio, we used RF a lot. Very reliable and good quality.
Speakers and adapters ordered. Nothing left but the amp. Still racking my brain.
i have been running a 2 sets of Arc speakers with the 125.2 mini for 2 years now, 6.5 in the fairing and 5.25 in the lowers and they sound great, you just need to wire the speakers in parallel , there is plenty of info on this in this forum. jd
I have the arc 125.2. Running a set of HERTZ 6x9's. I just recently added another set of 6x9's in the saddlebag lids. The amp has no problem pushing the system at 2 ohms. I have a line driver between the kenwood head unit and the amp, the gain on the amp is at zero. At full volume on the head unit I have no distortion, no hiss, crystal clear sound. I cannot speak on the RF unit as I have no experience with it.
Let's not get crazy here. The RF amp is a better amp. People who have the Arc are pissed because this new RF amp came out and they spent there $ on the Arc. Most speakers today are 4ohm, and you get the extra two channels... I need more reviews of the RF amp running hot then the one guy who posted that his front speakers were hissing... just saying.
LOL The RF Amp is not a better amp.. It might be a better deal, but it certainly is NOT a better amp. I run the KS125.4, I have four channels, I went through the work to squeeze that bad boy in the bat wing and it was worth it. Yeah I spent some coin, but you know what, you pull that Yaffee RF equipped bike next to mine and let's see who's EVERYBODY thinks sounds better... The owner of the RF equipped bike will bow his head in shame. Yeah my wallet may be a bit thinner, but my stereo sounds infinitely better, at least when parked or at low speed. When going 80 MPH down the highway, the question is moot.. It's entirely up to you if you are willing to spend the money.
And yes, that little RF amp can fry eggs.. It runs too hot. Sorry if you don't agree, but why don't you tea bag it with your ********* after it's been running at full volume for ten minutes and tell me you think it runs cool.
I purchased the RF 300X4 amp in October and sounded fine until last weekend when it went out and I have no sound. Called RF and they said take it up with the seller which I am waiting for a reply. POOR customer service from RF. It's the last RF product that I buy!
RF hasn't made a good product since the mid 90's they have gone down hill big time. The first high end stereo I built was in 1989, I put a RF Power 1000 in my 1970 EL Camino, it powered four RF Punch 10's and a custom set of Morel 3 way components in the doors. It sounded INCREDIBLE. RF doesn't make anything that throws voltage like those old Power series amps anymore. It's a bunch of crap and whoever their current engineers are they should be lined up and shot.

Things change.. Back in the day it was RF, PPI, Orion, Kicker and Zapco. Incidentally the founder of Zapco is the primary engineer for Arc Audio. I have to admit I may be a little bit biased as I know the CEO of Arc Audio, I used to compete in IASCA car audio competitions, his name is Demetrios Karabinis.. He has built some of the sickest car audio systems you can imagine. His '73 Grand Torino, "Black Widow" was the first car to crack 150DB... He is passionate about mobile audio and his company makes a solid product.
I myself have been playing with mobile audio for 24 years, competing professionally for six years with two different vehicles. I'd think I know a little bit about this subject.

One of the reasons I was really looking at the RF was thinking back to my old Punch 240 that I bought back in 97. I gave it to a buddy of mine last year, he's still running to this day.
I've had my Arc Mini KS 125.2 over 3yrs in two different bikes. It's a little beast. I run two channels through some Focal speakers and have no desire for anymore! You can run two sets of 4 ohm speakers in parallel with Arc as mentioned. I don't have any first hand experience with RF amp but many post/threads on it.
