Default New Rotors

I need to replace the front rotors on my 05 RK. Do you folks like the H/D rotors or do you prefer after market units. If after market, can you give me their name so I can check out the web sites?

Get yourself some HD floating rotors. You can get them cheaper at zanottis or chicago HD. I am going to get them when I need some.

I have the stock rotors on the bike now. Do I need to change out anything else if I put on a set of floating rotors?

Nope, but be sure to check the bearings while the wheel is out and it couldn't hurt to throw in some good brake pads like Lyndalls

Thanks for the help. I'm going to have a new front tire put on too. I got 19K on this one and even though it looks ok, I think I'll change it out anyway.

I love you guys that replace stock rotors. I buy 'em cheap. 5 bucks worth of sandpaper and 45 minutes later, I have a finish I can part my hair in.

I didn't put floating rotors on mine for looks. Floating rotors are a 100% performance upgrade. You can shine stock rotors all you want they still won't work as well as the floaters...

Eh,.........I ride one for a living. The stock brakes have done fine for me on the FLHPI that I ride at work.
