Am getting a badlander seat for my Street Glide.
Three things I would like to know about, one is this seat lower two can I get a back reest
for it and third can I get shorter shocks for the rear to lower the bike.

dude save your money and mod your stock seat like I did mine. I lowered the seating position by 4"s and narrowed the sides of the seat so my legs aren't push apart when stopped. Extra cash for mo chrome....I roll like that
Here is a picture at 3"s lower than stock, I went back in it and took another inch out.
Yes it lowers you. You cant get a NICE looking backrest because you have no slot in your seat. The only shocks I know of that will lower you are Progressives but there only good for an extra 1/2". For $500.00 bucks thats $125.00 per 1/8"
I run the Badlander on my 06 EG when not two up or going very far. The seat looks great on the bike and will lower you but,....... it is one hard mother on your posterior. I will switch to the stock seat if I am planning to ride more than 100 miles at a time or with a passenger.
Badlander= nice looking seat but "OUCH".
Shortleg,
I know what you are talking about, I too am inseam challenged. I have an 03 Ultra Classic. I had my seat lowered by BadX http://www.meancitycycles.com/ Alan did a great job on my seat lowering me and moving my legs narrower so I could get my feet down to the ground. Also I have the progressive 440 11.5" shocks which lowers your bike by 1 1/2 inches shorter than the stock shocks ( 13") and a much nicer ride. Seat mod cost $40.00 + $15 shipping and the Shocks were $409.00 including shipping for a grand total of $464.00
