sgdiesel,I did move them up a half an inch.I redrilled the holes after the orig install.The big washers on the mirrors cover my boo boo's.I used Black Rtv on the inside under the washer and then installed washer and nut.They r much better 1/2 inch higher.

Kinda got used to them now but I think I will do as you propose here, I am sure it is worth it

Problem is, what's the normal size?? Maybe a measurement from end to end would help. I'm pulling my hair out!!!!

Jobs done, I found a template online that downloaded at 100%.
I also moved the holes up about 1/2".
Now to put everything back together without Mr. Murphy screwing something up......
