Default Differences in 103's????

I was looking through the H-D website trying to educate myself when I come upon the spec's for a Dyna 103. It says the oil capacity is 3 qts./w filter. I'm thinkin' that ain't much oil for that engine, so out of curiosity I go to the touring spec's and it specifies 4 qts. I thought Dyna models had the same engine as the touring models (I know the softails have the "B" engine and the horse shoe oil tank, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a difference).

Are the Touring and Dyna's different?? or maybe a misprint?? or maybe I'm confused!!

Thanks

I dunno, maybe standard Oil Coolers on Touring, and not on the Dyna?

Softails had allways been 3qts.. The Touring says 4qts but that would overfill it now..The Touring bikes take about 3 1/2 now..Not sure about FX Dyna's..... Fx and FL's used to be a full 4qts. Why they don't reprint manuals..??

Touring bikes have deeper oil pans. My bagger takes about 3 1/2 qts, my dyna holds 3
