I use them, they work as described.

Does that mean I drink the koolaid? Not trying to be a smartass, but what does "drinking the koolaid" mean. Seriously, I have no idea.

Dynamic Balancing is what this is, and I have no idea what "Dyna Beads" are.

I used to have a rock krawler and keeping over sized mud tires balanced was a HUGE problem. Every time we went krawlin, we knocked some of rubber off and there went the balance. Big trucks use a system called "centramatics" and some of the krawlers figured out that all it took was a round medium of a minimum weight inside the tire to do the same thing.

In the end, air soft pellets wound up working and being the cheapest. They are available at most any Wal Mart and cost less than 7 bucks for 16 oz.

On a 35X12.50X15, I used 16 oz in each tire; I am "guessing" just over 2 or 3 oz in each tire of a bike would be more than enough.

I haven't had mine long enough to worry with this, but ever since I found this out, as soon as any vehicle needs a tire balance, I go buy some air soft pellets and then ask a tire shop, "what is the most weight you ever saw it took to balance a tire of this size"? When they give me the answer, I add 50% to it and stick it in there, works every time.

This worked on a Jeep, with over 10" of lift, running 35X12.50X15 tires, at over 80 MPH down the interstate, I am certain it works...

BTW, 35X12.50X15 tires weigh a little over 210lbs each, so the weight required to balance is substantially more than a 15- 20 lbs motorcycle tire...

I love the dyna bead threads. It's always interesting to see who drinks the Koolaid.
So what happens when the steel ones rust I'll stick with dynabeads.

"drinking the koolaid" refers to Jonestown in Guyana.

Where Jim Jones (infamous cult leader) had a lot of his followers so convinced of something ridiculous that they drank Koolaid that was spiked with Cyanide. So the "drinking the koolaid" is a reference to someone who blindly believes in "something", as in "following the crowd"

I have no idea in truth, but I am guessing they turn to powder and perform the same function. But the real question is, do they cause the wheels to deteriorate in any way?

Which is the same question I had on my jeep, the solution, PLASTIC air soft pellets, and they don't rust...

Seriously, all the naysayers, look up centramatics and explain to me, with the physics, why this "WILL NOT WORK" and then ya'll tell me who is "drinking the koolaid"???

HOLY ****, I just googled dynabeads.....

4 bucks an ounce. Don't do it, go to Wal Mart and buy some air soft pellets... Less than 7 bucks for 16 ozs.

Maybe I should be an *** and just resell air soft pellets for 4 bucks and ounce< give me a break. Think folks, think!!!

Drinking the koolaid? Jesus people get a life already. When the man asks me if I want the traditional weights or beads at no price difference, I should have told him neither. I will go out and spend more money for pellets? Yeah OK

For about any tire 225/70/19.5 and larger this is how 90% of them are "balanced". There are other brands available. Google balance beads to get an idea. I install on dumps, road tractors, motorhomes , etc. Works great. Have done my limited with them. Can be added thru valve core. Approx 2 ounces. Per tire. I get 12.00 for 6 oz. Bag. Have seen anything from golf ***** to marbles used in the past to accomplish this on larger tires. Simple, clean, and doesn't have to be re-balanced with added miles. BTW, tech is what I sell at our tire store. Hope this helps.
