I had to pull the front wheel to replace my fender..blah blah. Well come to find out, I didn't know about pulling the dang fork leg over till it hit the drill bit trick.
Did the left caliper, wheel spins nicely, slight drag. Did the right caliper and the bolts pulled the caliper against the rotor and naturally, won't let the wheel turn at all.
is this abs a simple crack a bleeder and let the pressure out on that side? hell the lever won't even get firm.
Are you sure you have all the spacers in the right spot? Not clear what you're saying about the drill bit trick. I did that on my 03 but it's not needed on my 09.
The wheel was on earlier, I just had to put a new fender on and it's simple. I was reading and noticed the right leg needed to be pulled out when doing the lower cap. They say to put he drill bit and pull the leg until it touches and then tighten the cap....I didn't do that before so I did it this time and the caliper was on the rotor. I took it off.
Everything is in place. The ABS spacer on the left and the spacer on the right.
I just did my 21" front a few days ago, went well but the caliper drug a little more than it did with the stock tire. Not holding the wheel at all just a little more drag. Today the brakes squeaked a couple times so I figured I'd read up on the axle procedure and that's when I read about the fork leg needing to be pulled.
