You have an 09 and are bothered about spending a few dollars?! All those options are inexpensive. Further possibilities are cartridges from Traxxion and, in time, Ohlins from Motorcycle Metal, which are under development.
You will get what you pay for and low dollars = low expectations! I have Emulators and RaceTech springs in my SuperLow and am not ecstatic about them. They are a slight improvement but not worth the money IMHO.
It's not really the money, just wanting to make sure I get some value for what I'm spending. I put Progressive springs in my last bike, and it was a significant improvement, but with the UC being much heavier I was unsure about how much (if any) improvement I would see.
Am I a tightwad? I don't think so, because I would not have laid down the cash for this bike. Do I like to spend my money wisely? Absolutely. I read about guys changing suspension parts 3, 4, 5 times and never understand it.
the best out there right now for the front end is Traxxion AK20s , they are around $1300 installed , I was ready to pull the trigger on them but I talked to several guys who went from stock to Progressive monotubes to Traxxion , all 4 guys told me Traxxion hands down were the best but for under $300 the monotubes were the best buy and if they could go back they would stick with the monotubes , I'm running them on the front and Ohlins on the rear and I am very happy , is the rear better than the front , yes but this is still a good set up

If you want a really good front suspension for the money, get the Intiminators and a set of single rate springs matched to your weight. No they are not premium cartridges, but they don't cost several thousand dolars either.
i have had the harley spring kit, progressive spring kit, progressive monotubes, and finally the racetech kit with single rate springs and emulators.
the racetech kit is by far the best suspension i have used thus far in the front.
takes a little adjusting to get it where you want it, but in the end it has made the best of the shitty harley front suspension. its a pain to get the sag set right, and the rebound set, but ive got mine pretty dialed in, could use a little more tweaking, but im not tearing the front end apart again.
id love to do traxxion dynamics cartridges, but im gonna hold off on them for a while.
i have a brand new set of monotubes i will let go for $200 still in the box from progressive. decided to go a different route. will fit touring models from 1997-2008 cbaker1@farmersagent.com
