Ive a 1340, 1993 evo engine complete. With Jim's lifters and lifter blocks and an andrews cam. Runs strong. 48,000 originals miles on it. Wondering what kind of price an engine like this is worth?
to a buyer, any claims of "runs strong" means almost nothing.
If buying a used motor I would expect to have to pay for a tear down inspection and even if no freshening of parts a gasket set.
I see evo motors on my local craigslist ( with title or MSO- which is essential) anywhere from $800 to $3000.
the high dollar ads sit there day after day.

Thanks for your reply. I know it runs strong. I took it out of the trike you see the picture of on my posting. There wasnt a thing wrong with it. I removed it because I picked up a new Ultima 113. Its just setting on my work bench. I did however upgrade on the hydro lifters and lifter blocks and I believe an EV27 Andrews cam.
I agree that unless you need the cash. I would hang on to it. I don't think you could get the price that the engine is worth in this economy unless it was a close friend in need. What kind of price was you asking for it? If you don't mind me asking. I have a uncle that may need a motor before to long.
