I'm having a problem with the Thundermax and the tru-dual map setting. When I set the system up for the tru duals, which I have, the AFR is about 17 or 18 to 1. If I set it on the factory headpipe and slip-ons, I get a 13 or 14 to 1 reading. I talked to one of your tech guys and was told if it works on the factory headpipe setting, then let it run on that. I told him I didn't pay $900.00 for a ECM that has some type of defect. I worry now about how long I ran this with the 18 to 1 AFR and did I do any damage to my engine. I'm afraid to run the bike with the Thundermax because I believe that my unit has some type of defect and the AFR may change again without me knowing it and burn up my engine. When I first installed it with the true-duals, the AFR was correct. Sometime in the last couple of months it went to the higher AFR setting and the only reason I found out about it was it started to backfire through the throttle body. I would appreciate you taking care of this problem by either replacing the unit or reprogramming mine. I have since reinstalled my factory ECM and air filter so as not to take a chance on damaging my engine since I can no longer be comfortable with the AFR settings on the Thundermax. I would try to unload this on Ebay, but I would hate to saddle someone else with my problem. Please correct this problem, Thanks
Had one on my 06 and it worked great. This one has turned the Bub 7 mufflers from the heat. Just hoping no damage has been done to the engine. So much for the 3 year warranty I guess.

I agree with "journeyman" today was a holiday for a lot of people, and the last two weeks have been hectic. I'm on my 2nd TMax also, I had to use tech support with the first one I had in 07, they were great, I had a problem and had to end up getting another unit, but the service was good. I would contact them by phone instead of e-mail, much better response and easier to explain. Good luck and keep us posted on the out come.
I did contact them by phone. That was when their service tech told me to just run it on the factory headpipe setting if it works better. The email I sent was Nov 29th. I did check the tube plug, I also replaced the intake gaskets, just in case. I'm running Bub 7 true duals with an open a/f and was trying to run the true dual ThunderMax program. All the codes show to be good. My mufflers have turned due to the excessive heat. This is not my first T-Max, I had one on my 06 and it was great. That's why I got one for my 09. Can't trust this one, don't want to burn up my engine.
I would call them back again, make sure you get the name of the service tech, or if possible speak to his supervisor, give them a breif history of your problem and nicely but firmly demand either another unit or a fix. Is there an authorized dealer near you who can check the problem?
I was hoping they would respond to my last email, but I guess not. I will try to call them again and explain my problem one more time. I have very little faith in a good outcome for me, but you never know.
