Well I finally heard from him today and he sold the bike. I dont have bike fever.....got one sitting in the garage right now. I just know this is the right time to buy.
Heres the deal. I only wana finance around $12k. Thus I either have to find a bike that cost &12k or less, trade in my 06 (easiest and what I really wana do), or sell mine outright and then buy.
If I were in the market today I would buy the 2009 or 2010. I would not by the 2011 or 2012. The newer bike is a better starting point and there are deals to be had on 2009's... Now if you could find a clean 2007 for cheap I wouldn't turn my nose up at it, they're still a fine machine and any of the issues they have can be addressed for not a lot of money.[QUOTE\]
Why?? curious...
Cost to value, no significant benefit over the 2009 model.
Try putting a price on the 103 with oil cooler, security system and ABS. HD did for $1,995 and for some, especially the ABS, it's priceless.
Not to mention a better chance of finding a lower mileage model the newer it is and more remaining warranty coverage.
Never used my warranty. Would rather do properly cammed/tuned 107 than have a pooch of a 103. ABS is available on 2009's ain't it?
Miles? Check the link I posted for that '07... $13,950 and <9k miles, not to mention a few costly add ons included. Plenty of unridden Harley's out there bud.
Edit: ever ask your dealer about your warranty after you installed the thundermax? And why the '09 header on your '11??? Oh, that's right the cat.

i have an 08 streetglide and would not trade it for a new frame model. no need to, mine handles fine, i don't push it beyond its limits, nor do i care to. the new frame looks okay, but i've had no experience with it, other than seeing that the continual run of tubing from the neck to the swing arm pivot is interrupted in front of the floorboards at the bottom of the downtubes of the frame. any time you stop a continuous run of tubing, you create the possibility of stress risers=cracking at that junction. and that's why i am tremendously happy with my 08. and the 103, cammed, tweaked, etc, will suck the headlight out of the 110 cvo's.
