Wait! Did you take a trip in a time machine back to the AMF days and talk to people there? I didn't read the whole thread, but wondered what is a lot? I don't think those with problems are full of crap, it's a mass produced vehicle by human workers, there are going to be some not as good as others, but in today's manufacturing environment and in the grand scheme of things, they will be a very small group.

Any problems yet? (besides the fact you had to go to work, instead of going riding)

No problems with the bike as set up by the dealership but I'd expect no less.

Later on this afternoon (its 9pm here now) I started adding parts that I had ready. On went the Klock Werks screen, fairing pouches, Harley Goodies footboard extenders but what caused me a problem?

The detachables lock I wanted to add to the rack, it was so tight I gave up and thought I'd look again tomorrow

Those footboard extensions are one of the best things I added to my bike, along with the riders backrest. Wouldn't ride without either.

Hey Lou, give a holler sometime. I am just down in Ocala. We will get together and ride. I ride up your way quite often!

25k on my '09. No engine problems. Only minor wear and tear stuff on the rest of the bike (stator grommet leak, broken saddlebag spring, etc.)

'08 Street Glide with 47,500 miles. Voltage regulator is the only real problem I've had. Had the SE compensator put in before my warranty ran out - but it wasn't broken. Other than that, only problems I've had have been with heated grips and a short in the fuel gauge wiring. All covered under warranty.
