The new Michelin Commander II claim is 25k on the tires, I would doubt it but if I can get more than 15k I would be glad.

I used to run 150/80/16's on my 04 RG. It's pretty tight but they do clear.

25k on a 140 rear tire??? I think they are blowing A LOT of smoke.

I got only 5k out of an original Commander, don't think I will bother trying the II. Instead I am going to try the Dunlop E3.

Later bikes use a stock MU which is 140/85. I also have used a 150/80 tyre (Avon Venom), but it would only go in with a later spec narrow belt and pulley. Reading threads over the years it seems some can get one in, but others can't. Doesn't seem to be any clear reason! Front is MT or 130/90.

I'm running a Michelin Commander MU85B16 on the rear of my 07 RK. Great tire when dry and rides nice. Kind of squirely when wet. Easy to lock up the rear when wet and using both brakes.
