Default Radio Help

I am experiencing an issue with the receiving and sound quality on a HK head unit in an 2006 Ultra. The radio sound and CD all are very strong through the speakers and the headset. The issue comes in when I try and use the CB to talk to another bike .More specifically " listen" . I also have an 2010 Ultra and we just tried communicating through the headsets between these two bikes. What we found is when you transmit from the 06 to the 2010 the sound is crystal clear in the 2010. In all the speakers or headset. When you transmit from the 2010 to the 2006. The sound is very faint in the 2006 speakers and headset. We switched the headsets and antenna which did not change anything. And yes we tried adjusting the CB volume in the 06 and this did not change anything. Do you guys have any suggestions?
I appreciate any and all help/advice you guys would have for me to chase this down.

I'll sell you my HK out of my 2010. Had 8,000 miles when it was pulled. Good as new.

Pull the fairings off both bikes and swap out the CB modules (very easy to do) and see if that makes a difference.

The 06 is on 3/4 volume. radio plays strong through the speaker, CB now sounds strong through the speakers. Cb through the headset is weak, radio strong.

Working up to that next, good point though. I have the faring off the 06 right now.

OK, just switched out the two CB modules and the problem followed the 06 module. Thanks Pingman, much appreciated!

Anyone want to part with one that they are not using? Shoot me a PM.

You're welcome. Hope the replacement module works well. HD has gone through several versions of the modue; last time I looked they were up to "-06C" version.
