I found it very difficult to find neutral on my 2012 RKC. At 300 miles I dumped whatever Harley put in, and filled it with Mobil1 gear oil. Problem solved.

Felt like and #$@%$#$^ idiot for a couple of months. It does get easier after a while. A light foot is an understatement.

Its easier to hit neutral while the bike is still moving a little.

Mine seemed to be better once I changed the shifter linkage

Same issue with mine also. I found that using the heel shifter made it a lot easier for me.

My first oil change I switched to a synthetic gear lube. Big difference.
Amsoil, Mobil, Red Line are all good.

Like someone else mentioned if you are moving a little...rock forward a bit and while you do that go for N at the same time with a flick...sends to help too. But I'm going to check my levels to see if that helps like others said. My Kawi was so easy compared to this...just have to get back into the HD grove for N like with my super glide

I've been hearing this since I was working at a Honda dealer in the early 80's. For the most part all I've seen is that the user does not have the right touch, a light touch, it's different than changing gears and as said before if the bike is rolling a little bit it will help. We used to rock the bikes back and fourth a little to find neutral.

BTW I never heard of automatic neutral and I personally don't like the idea, I like that a motorcycle requires that I develop certain skills that others can't do just do by sitting on the bike.
