Default Heated Gear Controller Issue Solved

I purchased a leather card hold and place a magnet in side. Took the holder to a shoe repair shop and had them sew the unit together so the magnet could not come out. Then, purchased some high strength Velcro square pads then attached one to the back of the leather card holder and one to the back side of the controller. The magnet is supposed to hold up to 25 lbs. After that, I took the bike out on the road to check and make sure it didn’t vibrate off. Took her up to 80 mph plus and the unit didn’t move at all. I hooked up my gloves and jacket and it worked perfectly. No more hanging wires to fool with and access to the control ***** is a snap. I can easily see the ***** and temperature adjustment was a breeze. Total cost $ 15.00. The other nice thing is when your done you just pick the thing up, put in you bags or tour pack …no scratching on the fuel tank, etc. There are simple solutions in life.

Looks good. I'm hoping the Capt. comes up with a replacement console insert for mine.

dawg. Didn't want to rain on Capt's parade, just another idea to solve the hassle of hanging wires and ease of operation of the controller. It works great! I like the Capt's design too. Maybe it will give him some other solutions as well. By the way dawg, thanks for all the great information you post. You have been very helpful on many subjects.

Great idea, now just dye it black and it will all blend in.
