I was in a trade negotiation for a 93 FLHTC, but it appears that the other party is gettin cold feet. So I went "lookin" yesterday to see whats out there. Found an 05 FLHRI bone stock, nothin changed, not even the mufflers, with 13K on her. It runs great and looks like new, they want 16 for it, decent price?
Offer them $13k and see if they jump on it. $13-14k is a decent price for a used RK right now (NADA retail price for an 05 is just a hair under $15k), at least based on the ones that actually sell, on Ebay and CycleTrader.
Spent the afternoon at the stealer hammering on them on the RK. Ended up at 15 with new wide white tires and a new windshield. I'm happy with the deal, it will be the last bike I buy for a long time. Really bad pic from the camera phone wont be ready til Tuesday.
Unless you go out of state or up north, socal prices seem to be abit high. If you go out of state you have to buy a bike with more than 7500 miles on it or they wont register it either. I went to 6 different dealers in my area Hd and independent. I also looked int the trader mags and it seemed to be a decent deal.

Sooo easy to get around that. I bought my bike out of state w/under 2K miles and I live in SoCal. Slapped a dealer tag on it and insured it in CA (only need the VIN).
Rode it around for a few months. At 7500 brought it to the DMV and registered it. Party I bought it from left the title blank except for a signature.....I filled in the rest on registration day. Simple....screw CA lame used vehicle laws. I even got pulled over for speeding once....all the cop wanted was proof of insurance (which I had) and my license....and I got a warning anyway.

There's a '06 at Bakersfield HD with 4600 miles on it - still has the nubbies on the tires. I know it was well cared for - I traded it in last week on a Road Glide......it's Cobalt Blue.
Plenty of used bikes, no wait for new ones anymore and new selling below msrp, that bike is priced like it was 2 years ago, too high in todays market, 12,500.- 13,500 is what its worth.
