Shakey's right...these ain't high-end audiophile systems. The best music to test your system with is the typical music YOU listen to. If you can hear that, then you can be happy with your system. If not, then let the upgrades begin.
I have a studio and work with professional audio techs. Everybody uses Steely Dan's "Aja" CD to test and adjust audio systems. Over the years, it's become the unofficial standard.
