Default Centramatic tire balancing system?

Looks interesting but I'm having a hard time understanding how this would be better than Dyna Beads, especially since Dyna Beads are WAY less expensive.

I sent an email to the company to get their take, but I'm curious to hear from anyone that has this product on their bike.

Not sure what kind of damage the beads do to the tires over thousands of miles, if any, but the tire mfg's don't recommend using them. Seems like a PITA putting in the beads.
Personnally I don't see any reason for either one if you have the good old stand by lead(?) weights.

Haven't personally tried either, but I have heard the Dyna beads shorten tire life significantly.

Holy thread ressurrection, Bat Man!

After thinking about this, my zero cost wheel weights are doing just fine, LOL

Sounds better than beads. Wouldn't have to blow a blast of air into the valve stem just to clear the beads to get a tire pressure reading. I would like to see a set mounted on a bike before I give it a try.

30% to 50% greater tread wear than what? Not balancing at all? I see all these alternate tire balancing threads and can't help but ask what is so bad about the old tried and true stick on or pop on weights? Have been running scooters and cages for lots of years and can't see EXTRA benefit of all this compared to regular weights.

I had centramatics on my 91 Chevy Silverado with some Toyo open country 265/75/16 rubber. The ride was awesome, no weights on the wheels. On larger wheels the benefits become more apparent. Without the centramatic balancers those tires would have required alot of weight. You cant loose a weight and the balance stays decent even if the tire loads up with snow or mud. On the bike the only benefit I can think of would be not having to pay for a balance when you bought new tires and maybe having them last longer from always being balanced. I stuck with the weights on the bike.

As your tire wears, the balance area changes. Dynabeads rebalance everytime you ride. If you do a search, you will find some real answer's on this. I posted pics last year of a tube I took out after 17K miles using DB's. There was a shiny spot around the outer section about an inch wide on the inside, but no wear. I've never had a bead get stuck in the valve stem. They are very simple and easy to put in. I'll never go back to ugly stick on lead weight's. JMO
