A few on here have that one. I had it briefly, but its just for looks. Totally useless to carry anything. Barely 3/4 inch between paint and rack, so using bungee cords is risky. Curved surface wont hold anything.
I'm ordering the same model as you for my 09 Classic with a Danny Gray Speed Cradle solo seat, hopefully it will fit.I had one of their solo racks on a previous bike and I was very happy with the quality, fit and finish.
I have the Motherwell rack as well. I disagree totally with Northwoodz, I have a luggage rack bag which attaches to the rack with velcro loops which are part of the bag, and then it gets a bungee net over it. On road trips I stuff that bag full, and I've even had my heavy leather jacket under the bungee net (and on top of the bag).
Granted, if you want to strap a gallon of milk to it it wouldn't be much good... As far as function goes, the HD rack looks like it's a better bet, but the Motherwell version has worked well for me for a few years. I made a thumbscrew so it comes off and on ina flash using the stock passenger seat mounting points.
Here's mine:
And here's the rack bag with one side attached to show the loops that hold it to the rack:
