It shows on parts section on Harley's website that the 7'
Windsplitter can't be installed with the Garmin 550 GPS. I have my GPS installed close to the left grip. Are they talking about a different install placement for the GPS or next to the grips with the stock mounting point for the 550?
I think they mean the inner fairing mount. I had the windsplitter on my bike for a while and I also have the the 550 mounted close to the left grip. Plenty of room.
I had the same experience Mixter had. I really like the windsplitter but I wanted a little more protection. I have the 8.5" Klockwerks, which does a great job but now is a bit too tal for me. Trying the Fastaire 7" flip up and hope that takes care of it.
