Wind splitter 7 inch 550 GPS

Wind splitter 7 inch 550 GPS

It shows on parts section on Harley's website that the 7'
Windsplitter can't be installed with the Garmin 550 GPS. I have my GPS installed close to the left grip. Are they talking about a different install placement for the GPS or next to the grips with the stock mounting point for the 550?

I think they mean the inner fairing mount. I had the windsplitter on my bike for a while and I also have the the 550 mounted close to the left grip. Plenty of room.

Thanks Gun! you said you had the wind splitter for awhile? You didn't like the wind splitter enough to keep it?

I loved the look of the windsplitter but didn't find it gavevme enough wind protection. The buffeting was hitting me square on the forehead.

I had the same experience Mixter had. I really like the windsplitter but I wanted a little more protection. I have the 8.5" Klockwerks, which does a great job but now is a bit too tal for me. Trying the Fastaire 7" flip up and hope that takes care of it.
