Would like to get some input on this particular backrest. I used to ride Goldwings and Utopia was the number one aftermarket backrest but I am not seeing them talked about much here after doing a couple of searches.
Any input on the Utopia on the newer models? (2009-up)
Utopia's are a good product. The reason you don't see them talked about much here is that the majority here only use the Utopia for the cop bikes as they make a great unit for the cop solo seat.
Hmm... I was debating between a backrest or Ohlin's... I'm thinking I'll try to butter up the wife and see if I can get both! I DID just get a new credit card... Hmm...
It can mount lower than the HD one, fits the small of my back how I like it, my CVO stock seat is lower than the other FL bikes also, the HD one is way too tall for my bike. I have their 1/2" push the mount back option which makes it even more stretched out (further back). I also have the quick release pull out option, it just slides out. The utopia mount looks alot like the HD one but they are NOT intercahngable. Utopia uses a threaded screw for tilt adjustment which I can do on the fly by reaching around back, thought I hardly ever need re-adjustment. It works good, feels fine, looks pretty good ...
