i have a question about coasting.
put the bike in neutral
engine off
key on (so you can see your speed)
& just coast down hill on a slight grade keeping your speeds no more than 25/30 mph.
what do you guys think, is it bad on the trany, clutch or anything else?
ive only done this once bout 1 mile. but it was quiet. wind across my ears & tire noise.
There are biker carriers that connect to a trailer hitch that carries only the front tire. I doubt that you are harming anything other than draining the battery a bit.
Definitely an expensive bicycle, but great way to enjoy a few moments of free-wheeling. W/power everything electronic should still function & nothing will get wrecked...unless you slam things back on incorrectly when starting 'er back up...
I am not sure if spinning the transmission in neutral and engine off
if the oil is getting to any spinning parts in the gear box. I have had
some Dirt Bikes where the owners manual say this is a BIG NO NO.
