Ps what gage wire did you use in place of the wire kit?
Anthony bars look great. just wondering if you took the rubber gromets out. I notice(don't get offended) you have the same gap I had between the fairing and the accessory panel.it drove me nuts. but if you undo the fairing again remove the grommets you can get the accessory panel back under the inner fairing like it was stock. there is some play in the fairing you have to lift and pull it back some and hold it while you tighten it back up though. just thought I would let you know.
Yes, I had to remove the rubber grommets. Some say you can shave then down some but I just removed them because the bars are so much thicker. The gap doesnt bother me so much as the nacelle popping forward from inner fairing. So a matter of personal choice I can live with.

Hey JK, Hope the write up helps and thank you for your service. When are you do back home? Im halfway through cancer treatment and should be on the mend and able to ride and get out and about end of August. If your home by then your welcome to come to Ocala and we can do the job here or I could ride over and help with the install in Melbourne. I used 18gauge wire. I stagger cut and added in middle of wires so I could still trouble shoot as wire colors at switches and plugs if needed.
Shoot me an IM as the time draws near and Ill get you my number. Be safe over there and may the Lord bring you home safely.
Anthony

Reason: 18 guage wire
where do you get the wire grease? What do you think of using Petroleum Jelly? A guy at Radio Shack said he didn't have wire grease but suggested Vasaline. lol
Pretty sure you can get it at Lowe's. I sprayed a sh!tload of Silicone into the bars I believe. Lots of advise on this forum of what to use and what others used. Don't think Vaseline has ever made the list.

I was thinkin bout sprayin silicone and then vasaline on the wires. should make it pretty slippery.
also, what is the torque on the clutch cover and bar clamp upon re-install?(with poly bushings)?
to get the wires through my bars I used some construction string and a fishing weight on it so it would weight it self through, removed the fishing weight electrical taped it to the wires with a small not in the end of the construction string so it would slip through the tape! was able to push and pull to help it through the corners. taped the string up the wires about an inch to a inch and a half. both wires ran in in under 15 minutes. I use this same method for electrical rework on houses works great!!
Im going to install some 13in prime apes on my 08 Street Glide....im going to use the namz wire extentions what length do I need ? Also for fly by wire and clutch and brake lines please
My bike is in the shop getting 14" La Chopper Twin Peak Ape hangers installed. Since I haven't been able to find any threads showing that particular size, I'll post pics so you guys get an idea for the 14"... can't wait to get the bike back now....
