Hey Anthony. Plan to do this to the Glide I just picked up. I realize you conquered it some time ago, but if you still have those Yaffe instructions I wouldn't mind having a copy. Thanx! Ptorchardkev@gmail.com
I changed computers and dont have them anymore. I think the hardest part is that most try to pull the wire through the bars. That usually breaks the lead line. You want to push from the handle area harder than pulling the lead line.
I found that an electricians lead cable used for pulling electrical lines through new buildings worked very well and didnt break as easily. Hope that helps some.
My bike is in the shop getting 14" La Chopper Twin Peak Ape hangers installed. Since I haven't been able to find any threads showing that particular size, I'll post pics so you guys get an idea for the 14"... can't wait to get the bike back now....
Can you tell me how much you are paying the shop for your install. I have the same apes (12"), and looking for the dealer to install if it isn't too much.

Depending on location, price varies. I was looking at almost $1500 for labor at a dealer. I've never done it before, but found an awesome video on youtube that was step by step for a '14+
Still got it done in less time than the dealer quoted me. And saved even more money because I didn't have to extend any cables.

Thanks ! - I'm going to take the plunge and do it myself.
Look up 'Install 14" Factory 47 Bars' on youtube. Not sure how different the earlier MY are compared to the 14+ (excluding hydraulic lines and such) but it will steer you in the right direction I'm betting. Had it on an iPad in the garage and just followed along while drinking some beer. I did watch the video once completely before jumping into the install though. If you can turn a wrench, you can change your bars. For me, the worst part was getting the damn wiring harness through the bars. Good luck man.
