Well I scuffed the bottom edge of my saddlebag pretty bad.(long story dont wanna remind myself of right now lol). New extended bags are not an option right now . I like the look of the cvo extensions. The seam does not bother or look out of place to me. I have seen some others that look just like the cvo for alot cheaper. Is the quality any good on these? Which ones should I get? my step dad is a bodyman and will hook me up with painting. Going to do the inner fairing same time.
An inch might do it. Damage is just on the edge I think will have to check it out. Are those polished aluminum or chrome? Looks good. I was thinking if I went that route the black contrast would look cool on mine with some other stuff I was going to add eventually
Look into the Bad Dad Extensions. They can be fiberglassed in without having that God awful line in them. I'm getting ready to order some myself.
I'm getting ready to order a set today/tomorrow, unless I can find a better alternative, that is. So far, these are the best I've seen for my needs; a 2" extension, so I can still see the pipes.
The nice thing is, you only have to use body filler, not fiberglass, and it looks pretty straight-forward to complete.
I found a set of Screamin' Eagle extensions on eBay for under $200 shipped and put 'em on my bike a few months ago. I'm happy with them. Here's the link to my write up:
