Default ACR Install Question

Prepairing to install a set of ACR heads from a 2011 on my 2010 Ultra 96" while installing the 103" setup. Instruction with the ACR harness state to have the ACR's activated before starting the engine. Is this correct? Was planning on doing the complete install, setting the pushrods and riding it to the dealer to have them activate the ACR with the digital tech.
I'm running a PC-V currently so I do not have this option to activate them myself.
Does anyone know if I can have the dealer activate the ACR's prior to the install. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

You should be fine to do a few starts without them. I have TTS and it enables me to disable them and I tried it just to see and it starts fine 2011 103 RGU.

My ACRs are wired up by tapping into the green wire that runs to the starter solenoid, my ECM doesnt control the ACRs.

If you dont have an SEPST or dont want to involve the dealer this is the way to do it.

In practice the ACRs activate in a fraction of a second, there is no need to pull them on before commencing cranking.

Thnak for your reply. Just not sure why the directions state not to start the engine before they are activated with a digital tech.

Any idea what the dealer should charge to use a digital tech to turn on the ACR'S after I install them?

if it is a good dealer they should do it for free. it will take 2 minutes to do. I am guessing the instructions say not to start it without first activating the acr's is because with the added compression they don't want you to not activate them. When the 103 police bikes first came out they did not have acr's and several went thru starters but and there was a recall. We ran 6 of the first ones and ran them a season before having the recall done and never lost a starter. These were started many many times a day.

Thanks MTCLASSIC and others, I bought these from a forum member whom upgraded his 2011 to a 110" so he included the ACR heads with the 103" package so I figure I'll use them. Just a little confused with the factory instructions that were included with the harness. It has a few leads swapped in the harness connector for the ACR's and I am a little concerned with the wire swap with out reprograming before the inital start up.
