I just bought new braided throttle cabe/idle cables. application was for my year BIKE (02)flhr the idle cable is too long as in the cable not the sheath. I cannot adjust the play out of it and it pops out of the cable guide at the carb when I let go of the throttle. It is a carbed bike not EFI could I have an EFI Cable. anyone have any ideas.
you have the adjuster at throttle grip adjusted all the way out?
IF you do have the wrong length cable- an "old timey" motorcycle shop ( and maybe ace h'ware) will have ends which you can crimp on ( or better yet, thread the cable through with a tension screw)- after which you cut off the unused length
