Good question. I'd like a beefier front tire on my 09 UC too. There's also a 140/75-17 mounted on the Fat Boy.

Well a 150 mounts on a 3.5" rear wheel fine so I dont see any problem there. Clearance issues? Should be fine.

Dunlop doesn"t offer a 130/80-17 E3 front tire, only a 150/80r-17 E3.they do have a 130/80 b-17 elete(not an E3). so, just to be sure the 150 will fit on a 09 classic?

A 150/80 is likely to be an inch larger in diameter than a 130/80. Rim width seems fine.

The only thing I would add, after years of experience squeezing wider rear tyres into older dressers, is they can vary quite a bit from the nominal width. With Avon Cobras, for example, the wider tyre is 9/10ths wider, but that may not be the precise difference. I suggest you check you can push a thick finger either side of your stock tyre, to be sure a wider one will go in!
