Default SE slip ons, can you change baffles?

Hey Folks,

My 05 Road King came with a set of SE slip ons, and they are very (too) quiet to me.
I have done some searching, but have not come up with the answer.

Can you change the baffles in these pipes? And if so, what is a good baffle to make it louder.
I don't want it too loud, but these pipes are so quiet sometimes I can barely hear the exhaust.
I little louder would help knowing when to shift.

NO, I don't want to remove them altogether, just want some more rumble...

Also, if I change baffles, do I need to rejet my carb? The bike is already had a rejet for the SE pipes, and SE A/C, stage 1.

Thanks guys for any help that you might provide.

Peace

fullsac makes a baffle to put in some SE mufflers. you have to grind out two tack welds and the stock baffles pull out, then drill a hole on the bottom of the muffler to bolt the new baffles in.. some no name company on eBay makes a baffle too... i know they fit the 4" cvo mufflers. SE makes several different muffs so you have to research a little to make sure they fit.

Depends which mufflers you have, quote a part number, there are many variations.

2.) you make much of a change and you'll require tuning.

which is not difficult. nightrider.com has a bike tech section on tuning the CV carb

I pulled my SE II's, replaced with Rush slip-on's and 2.5" baffles and never regretted it for a second. Did the same thing for my wife's Deluxe 4 years later, except she got 1.75" baffles. Both sound good, chrome is excellent quality and baffles are interchangeable by design. Mine required a PCIII since I also have a Power PACC from Doherty Machine, but hers are fine with no other mods. I've had male and female riders ask us what pipes we have, most notably a couple of females who were riding pillion-only and trying to spec out what they wanted on new bikes for themselves.
