Default prime ape or pyo's

going to pull the trigger on one or the other, just wondering if anyone has sat on a bike with pyo's and then prime ape's, if so which did you like better. Is the pull back and width the same? I know the hight is about the same on the pyo 12 inch and prime 13's. Which ones do I get ?? Any thoughs would be helpful.

I have the PrimeApes and love them A buddy of mine has the Yaffe's and he loves them too. We're both about the same size but his seat is much lower. I can tell you the PrimeApes are much wider. I don't know the exact specs but there's a noticable difference when looking at them side by side. I didn't pull the trigger till I found bikes I could sit on with both so I could get a real feel.

So you liked the wider bar better, how about the wrist angle, are they about the same?

I just installed Prime Apes and love em. and yes, they are wide. But nothing you wont adapt to quickly. The bars are amazing, and have a very clean smooth finish.

I think the prime apes are less expensive as well, if money is a factor.

I haven't seen the MBB in person so I cant compare to them except for the cost. Both are reputable and im sure you wouldn't regret it either way you went. Hers a pic of my primes just installed last week.
When comparing primes to my stock bars, I think primes are about 3 1/2 inches wider on each end.

I haven't experienced both, but I chose the Prime Apes based on their 15% off for HDForum members (turned out to be about $100 off because I bought cables and extended wires too) and they were at my house in about a week. Have heard too many horror stories about shipping times with Monkey Bars. Seems like for every story they got there quickly, there is two stories about how long they took. For me they both are very substitutable products and I am very satisfied with my purchase, and am in no way knocking Bagger Nation products as they make some killer stuff.

I got my prime apes from handlebar Louie on eBay. They were a smoking deal and they got to me in three days!

They are just a little wider than the monkey bars but I am a 6'4" ape myself so I appreciate the additional width. They work extremely well with the PM contour XL grips.

Prime apes are 39" wide PYO MBB are 36" wide.

They both look great. I did have to wait about 6 weeks for my monkey bars. If they (prime apes) had been available at the time I would have cancelled and gone with the prime apes. Same look. The only thing i don't like is the bar taper for mounting the grips and controls on the prime apes. I think the monkey bars look a little cleaner when everything fits. The down side is that if something doesn't fit such as the ness deepcut grips I bought originally you get a gap. HD or performance machine grips fit perfectly.

One thing I noticed in pictures, is that the PrimeApes come out of the fairing and upwards at an angle, on the spread. The PYO bars exit the fairing and go straight up, no spread towards the mirrors.

Both look good though.

It took less than a week to get my monkey bars. Had good communications from the company, too. I did not buy their supersize kit, but only because I knew I could save some money by shopping cables on eBay. I prefer the look of the Yaffe bars especially at the handgrips.
