Thanks, Off to the dealer on Monday. One month left on warranty. Hope it is not caused by the PCV. I guess I'll check on the extended warranty before mine expires. Just in case...
It could be the PC-V, Unhook the battery to clear codes, hook your O2 sensors back up, then unhook the PC-V, start and run the bike and see if they come back, that should let you know if it's part or all of your problem, you might wanna give Jaime at Fuel Moto a call, he's had a lot of experience with the PC-V set up's.
Got to ask......is the bike running OK? I had a pushrod nut loosen up on me and that will set several codes given the valve isn't opening all the way.
If the bike is running OK, did you try clearing the codes?
My suggestion too. Clear all the codes and see if they come back. If you didn't check for Codes BEFORE adjusting the pushrods they could have been set by ill running prior to adjustment.
I did clear all the codes and also reloaded the map from FM and took it out for a ride and the throttle had loss of power once in a while and the codes came back on, so its off to the dealer on Monday while its still under warranty. Hopefully they cover it. I beleive it has to do with the throttle wire or programming. I do not think that the problem was not related to the pushrod reset. The bike starts and runs fine but it will miss idle at times and then it throws the codes.
Might also be time to extend my warranty being it expires in February. Any recommended dealers give good deals on the ESP HD extended warrranty that you know of?
With all your mods...you may have trouble getting warranty service. I mean I hope you can, but some dealers would not cover you for sure. If your dealer fixes you under warranty on this claim, then maybe they will do the same thing under an extended warranty. You might want to get a copy of it and read it before you purchase it. Most of them have sections dealing with motor modifications. Let us know how this goes.
If the codes are coming from the throttle sensor, I don't see what that would have to do with the PCV. Map or Cam change. Hopefully they cover it!
I'll keep you informed...
