Hate to be a killjoy, pack it up with the inner fairing mod, ride it for 6 months and then spend good money on good quality knowing exactly what you want and why you want it
sorry to keep you waiting.
Ive read numerious threads on by-passing the lamp shut off and it seems easy,I plan on winging it soon, just wish i had done it when i was doing other stuff under the cap and fairing. So with a search you can find the diagram.Heres my plan:cut the wire the headlamp and lamps share and reconnect it to the power source for the acc switch plain and simple.(have to look at the diagram and manuel quick)
Now I hope I remember to replace the worn out cigerette socket while im there

I added a 'detachable' tour-pak when I bought the bike new a year and a half ago and just took it off for the first time yesterday. Before doing so I added the boom antenna in the nose. Also installed the Flash2Pass garage door opener and love it (took some time with their customer service to get it working but worth it). Also upgraded the front speakers to boom speakers all why I had it off.
Could just be Seacoast Harley but they have the LED headlight "installed" with any 2012 touring bike bought in Feb. Of course you then want to update the other lamps :-)
Thought this was other dealers as well but what do I know ... guess not.
As far as being a killjoy, nah, to each his own. I have rented this model before so I have some feel for it and I currently ride a Low Rider so fairing has never been an issue (nor windshield -hmm reminds me I had one that came with that bike, quick removable, going to have to find it and sell it never used it)
