Default Recommendations on things to install while inner fairing is off

Hi All,

In early process of buying 2012 Limited and am gonig to have color matched fairing added before I even go out the door. Any other "must consider" items to have done (I know, better to do em yourself if possible but time is in short supply as is mech talent) while the inner fairing is removed.

Is a J&M CB antenna and AM/FM/WB worth it (I will be adding a removable tour pak, thinking about the quick detach wiring discussed in thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...etachable.html )

maybe changing out the air temp gauge though the dipstick gauge is nice for oil temp

other thoughts?

Thanks

Dave

I have just recently purchased and installed the J&M hidden CB antenna. Only got to do a short ride due to the weather but it acts as though it is going to work "ok", at the same time I put on the Hogtunes Hybrid speakers that Santa brought me. Man they are "Mac-Daddy" I am really pleased with the sound. Just my 2 cents worth.......Happy trails !

For your consideration:

I think you'll like the in dash oil temp gauge better than the dipstick...

Garage door opener

Upgraded front speakers

Fairng mounted mirrors

Fairing mounted GPS

CVO dash pad

if money's not an issue I'd go with the premium ride cartridges and a chrome front end kit.

If you do the oil temp gauge, have them put it on the right side with the oil pressure gauge, move the volt meter to the air temp gauge spot.

This way, your oil gauges are both in the same area.
