I have a 2010 Street Glide. Love the bike - hate the sound. So far I have bought the Bassani 4" slip-ons.....Rinehart 4" dual slip-ons....swapped out the 2.25 baffle to 2.5 inch baffle on the Rineharts. I have heard that alot of people are happy with either of these...not me....I am looking for some deep, throaty noise! Can some of you that obviously know more than me help me with advise on some good slip-ons...or am I really barking up the wrong tree and need the full exhaust system? HEP!
ths dawg and aviscomi.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...there are a sh**load of options out there
After reading your original post I see that you have a 2010 SG, they come stock with a 2/1 exhuast, I also have a 2010. So I'm a bit confused when you are using the word "slip-ons", that suggests that you are running a TD or 2-1-2 setup.

I saw that also...seems he switched the headpipe out already.
As long as that cat is gone then you can make some changes. When that cat is in there, no hope. You could take the mufflers completely off and still be quiet.
I heard some Vance & Hines High Outputs last summer, on a SG, and they sounded GREAT. I have Rush on now. (Ultra 103 Ltd.) I thought Rush sounded pretty good until I heard these High Outputs. Put on some headphones & type them into You Tube. I'm changing to them this spring.
I just ordered a set of SE Street Performance Touring Mufflers, the 4" diameter for my 2010 Ultra with the 103. I already changed out the stock header pipe with the V&H power duel to get rid of the CAT. I've been running the with the stock mufflers. I also bought the SG stage 1 kit.
I'm only after helping the engine breathe, run cooler and whatever performance I gain. My last ultra had load pipes and I hated it after a while. I would keep the stock mufflers if I could but realize mufflers go with achieving better performance. I realize I have to chance the tuner also.
I heard the SE Thunder Street Performance Slip-on mufflers just before I bought these touring mufflers and they has a nice mild sound. I hope I have not gone to far to the loud side.
Has anyone had any luck with these 4" SE Street Performance Touring Mufflers?
