My installer used a kit that retails for 35.00. They are out there.

Of course as a professional audio installer you can definitely use the one for cars although you will have to get into the factory harness, cut, splice and even sometimes install resistors. That is if you have the know how!
For us non-MCEP Harley guys plug and play is the way to go. You do NOT want to cut into your factory harness as you are limiting the possibility of reversing your install when selling/trading your bike!

I'm curious to know what he did to install this kit? Great price but if it involves more than plug and play not sure that would be the best option for the OP. But as much money as we have all spent any savings is a plus.
Doing an upgrade this spring on my 103 Limited Ultra. I want 6 speakers --- fairing, lowers, and rear pods. Found a guy who does alot of bikes, and he likes JL Audio. He recommended JL all the way around, and a JL amp in the tourpak. I don't know much about them. Is JL a top-of-the-line setup? I was ready to put Focals in, but he talked me out of it. Just wanna make sure JL's one of the best. I've had Hogtunes & ARC, and wasn't real impressed. I now have Hertz 6.5s in the fairing, and I like them, but he thought I should do JL everything. What do you think? Thanks.
Hey Jim, how did you make out with the new jams? pro & cons? Whats the head unit? Im thinking of upgrading to a new head unit and just the front speaker to 6 1/2? Maybe Titan II or your thoughts? I know you commited on JL, thats the Hi-end jams? Im looking for a good sound 2 speaker system
with Ipod compatabilty.....Your scoot is coming along the way you want it. Nice....Take care and talk to you soon. D
Missed the arm wave avatar...RIP
Also curious to hear how it all turned out. I was thinking of going from the ARC 6.5's speakers I currently have to the Titan/Hertz speakers. I am interested to see if you liked the JL speakers more than Hertz you took out...
Hi Doug --- Haven't done the upgrade yet. It'll be sometime this spring. I'll let you know. When we rode last summer, what I had were those 6.5" hertz from Biketronics --- MUCH nicer than Hogtunes or ARC. I'll keep you posted. You too, marvincbr!

Probably one of the PAC steering wheel adaptor kits. There pretty universal. PAC is pretty big in the automotive aftermarket install industry selling adaptor install kit wiring adaptors and steering wheel interphase kits.
They do have wiring diagrams on their site for install of their stereo steering wheel adaptor to the HD controls. But none of it is plug and play.
Hogwire has a nice little plug and play unit for around 150.00 but i don't think it has the (AVC) auto volume control.
Biketronic also has a very good adaptor which does have the AVC.
